Mediation

Divorce mediation is a non-adversarial process where the parties make decisions for their divorce, separation or post divorce / family disputes, without any attorneys. Mediation is a type of negotiation facilitated by a neural third party. Mediation reduces the tension and stress of contentious battles and avoids the high cost associated with litigation. The parties, with the assistance of the mediator, come to a jointly agreed upon resolution which culminates into a final settlement agreement.

FAQ

How does Mediation work?

Mediation is a conversation between you and your partner with a neutral professional to help you sort through your financial and emotional issues without the need for pricey legal fees in a comfortable environment or in our offices.

How many Mediation sessions will be required?

Every situation is different depending on the complexity of the issues which need to be resolved. It is recommended that the parties start with three sessions, additional sessions can be added, if needed.

Will we still need our own private attorneys?

Once you and your partner come to an agreement, our attorneys will draft your settlement paperwork and file it with the court on your behalf. It is suggested that you hire an attorney to review the drafted agreement that you and your partner have settled on.
